Dr. Amy Kim is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and is trained in the treatment and management of eye diseases, specialty contact lenses and pre and post-operative care of patients. Her clinical interests include Myopia control (orthokeratology, eye drop therapy, etc.), speciality contact lens fitting for kearatoconus and post-corneal transplants.

 

Dr. Kim grew up in the South Bay and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Studio from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and then obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. She completed her externships with an emphasis in Low Vision at the VA Ambulatory Care Center in West Los Angeles Veteran's Medical Center, Tucson Veteran's Hospital, and Center for the Partially Sighted.

 

Dr. Kim is fluent in Korean. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, reading, biking, and traveling.
